The PROUDHON Storage Tank (4 page booklet)
The Proudhon storage tank, Paris, France. Most of the Paris sewers collect both wastewater and runoff water. During periods of heavy rainfall, the mains which drain the water to the treatment plant do not have the capacity to convey all the resulting wastewater and storm overflows. The Proudhon storage tank provides excess capacity during these periods in order to protect the river Seine.
